Teaching since: 1996
Styles that inform my teaching:
My teaching is deeply influenced by yoga therapy and Ayurveda, guiding how I pace, sequence, and adapt practices to support each individual’s constitution, balance, and the season. I have training in Ashtanga yoga, Yoga Therapy, prenatal, and restorative yoga. I’m especially inspired by slower, gentler styles that activate the vagus nerve and calm the nervous system.
Why I teach yoga:
I teach to support students and clients through all phases of life—whether they are navigating injury, stress, hormonal changes, major life transitions, or simply beginning their yoga journey.
Why I practice yoga:
Yoga played a key role in saving my athletic career through recovery and rehabilitation from injuries. Over time, my practice has evolved alongside Ayurveda—becoming not just physical, but a way to regulate my nervous system, manage stress, and stay grounded and resilient as I age.
What you can expect from a class with me:
My classes are intentionally slower, supportive, and adaptable. My goal is to give you practical tools you can use off the mat—through movement, breath, and rest.
When I’m not teaching, you can find me:
I run a private practice offering bodywork, cupping, yoga therapy, marma therapy, craniosacral therapy, and Ayurvedic care, with a focus on women’s health and nervous system support. I love learning and studying. I also enjoy traveling up north to the North Shore and spending time at a farm in southwest Minnesota. And of course, time with my pup, hockey, and good food are always part of my life.
