Yoga Class Descriptions

Beginners

Ideal for those new to yoga or for ongoing students wanting to focus on the basics. Class is taught with an emphasis on alignment for learning, safety, and ease within poses. Build a solid foundation for a safe and joyful yoga practice.

Align and Flow

Move, breath, stretch and connect within. Practice with a focus on alignment within poses for steadiness and ease. Explore sun salutations, standing poses, twists, back bends, basic inversions, and seated poses. Modifications and props are provided to help students access the poses safely and effectively. Philosophy is woven into the fabric of the class to help students embody the teachings of yoga.

Align and Flow Plus

For continuing and intermediate students. Focus on alignment and the breath. Practice sun salutations, standing poses, twists, back bends, inversions, arm balances and seated poses. Modifications and props are provided to help students access the poses safely and effectively. Philosophy is woven into the fabric of the class to help students embody the teachings of yoga.

Vinyasa

Link breath to movement in Vinyasa yoga class. Class includes sun salutations and a dynamic sequence of postures (asanas) that build heat, release tension and focus the mind.

Asana and Meditation

Align and flow asana practice to prepare for breath work (pranayama) and 20 minutes of meditation. Start your morning off right in this 70 minute class!

Nidra and Flow

Align and flow yoga class coupled with yoga nidra. Yoga Nidra is translated as yogic sleep; a guided relaxation exercise that utilizes visualizations combined with intention setting practices. The purpose of yoga nidra is to transcend unconsciousness limiting psychological holding patterns in order to manifest your visions.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is designed to help relax and renew the body on many levels; the nervous system, emotional distress, physical tension, and more. Poses are supported by props while relaxing music is played and poetry is read to encourage introspection and relaxation.
