Who we are
Meet Chris and Nora Gordon, owners
Big River Yoga started as a sparkle in our eye in 2010 and we are proud to offer quality yoga that inspires and uplifts. We like to think we make a pretty great team and hope you also feel the warmth, dedication, and love we put into Big River Yoga to make it an OM away from home. We are residents of the Seward neighborhood and are committed to making our community a better place for all.
We love yoga. We love feeling our best. We love community. You are part of that vision.
💙 with love + gratitude,
Chris and Nora Gordon
Meet our amazing teaching team
Big River Yoga is a group of dedicated and experienced instructors that are here to inspire your practice. We are so proud of our amazing teaching team and we know you will feel the knowledge and love they bring to each and every one of their classes!
Our Mission
At Big River Yoga, we provide yoga and wellness services for the community that promote positive transformation, and help us recognize our shared humanity.
Our mission is to offer quality, heart-based, community-centered yoga classes that inspire and uplift. We aim to provide a space for you to breath, stretch, build strength and flexibility, and most importantly, be yourself!
Yoga is a catalyst for transformation
We believe yoga can be a great connector and catalyst for transformation. Yoga is a harnessing of energy through skillful action to align and integrate your body, mind and heart with consciousness, love, and a “oneness” that emanates through everything.
We have deep respect for the lineage of teachers who have come before us and the cultures from which the practice comes. We are grateful this practice is available to us and we humbly pass the teaching on to our students.
Class Schedule
With over 27 classes per week on our schedule, there is sure to be something just right for you. Find your class!

“Big River is a welcoming and excellent yoga community. I am relatively new to yoga and the instructors have been incredibly patient and instructive. There are all types of people at the studio, which I also really appreciate. If you're an expert or a beginner to yoga, Big River is the place for you..”
