Styles that inform and inspire my teaching: I deeply connect to the moral teachings of the yamas and niyamas, and often use these principles to inform my teaching. I have training in alignment-based yoga, yin, restorative, Yoga For All bodies, pain science, somatic experiencing, and trauma-sensitive yoga. I'm fascinated by humans!

Why I teach: My aim is to empower my students to connect with their bodies and build personal agency. I truly believe there is no "right" way to move and I love watching students soften their inner critic over time. Helping my students find deep rest and contentment brings me joy and comfort.

Why I practice: I grew up dancing (literally everywhere) and was initially drawn to yoga as a movement practice to maintain flexibility. It didn't take long for me to experience the deeper impacts on my life, my self, and relationships. I really believe this practice serves us best when we listen to the natural balance within our bodies.

What to expect from classes with me: Expect a curious approach to movement, intentional moments of rest, mixed in with some science and spiritual teachings. I offer choices throughout to create accessible options for a variety of students, and welcome individual experiences. Oh, and hopefully we have some fun, too!

When Iā€™m not teaching you can find me: Riding bikes around town, enjoying the wilderness, being a student, creating art, and supporting clients within my therapy practice.
