Teaching since: I have been 'teaching' for over 35 years, first as a health educator and then as a yoga instructor.

Styles that inform my teaching: I am trained in Hatha Yoga and deeply appreciate it's alignment focus. I am inspired by the Kundalini tradition and often incorporate their use of mantra/mudra.

Why I teach yoga: I teach because I was born to teach; it is my dharma. I chose to teach because of what it has given me in my life; a strong, flexible body, a quiet mind and an expansive heart. My mission as a yoga instructor is to give the gifts of movement, breath, and calm to each person I am blessed to instruct.

Why I practice yoga: I practice daily because movement and meditation are the best forms of medicine for me. Yoga keeps me well. Yoga keeps me grounded. Yoga fulfills me spiritually.

What you can expect from a class with me: In my classes you can expect to have fun, relax, and connect with your yogi neighbors. You can expect to sweat and work hard at a level that is appropriate for you. I am a creative, experienced instructor skilled at finding ways to make poses available to all in some form. And finally, you can expect to LAUGH! There is seldom a class where we are not finding humor in some aspect of our collective experience.

When I am not teaching, you can find me: Outside! Whether it's hiking, kayaking, biking, gardening or sitting around a bonfire, I am outside. Mother Nature is where I find my greatest enjoyment and peace.
